Jayasimha brings decades of experience in advancing animal welfare across Asia. Previously, he led transformative initiatives at Humane Society International, India, and pioneered animal law through his work as the Founding Director of the Animal Law Centre at NALSAR School University of Law, Hyderabad. His deep expertise—ranging from advising governments on animal welfare legislation to implementing cage-free production systems—makes him a highly valuable addition to our board.

At Global Food Partners, Jayasimha has been at the forefront of developing innovative, science-based solutions that enable food corporations and producers to transition to higher-welfare, cage-free practices. GFP’s impressive client roster includes renowned names such as Unilever, Marriott, Compass Group, Club Med, HYATT, and ACCOR, which underscores the significant impact of their work on global food sourcing and sustainability.

Jayasimha is joining us at this pivotal moment as we expand our work to South Africa, Egypt, and Morocco. As we intensify efforts to support egg producers and corporations in improving the welfare of laying hens, his unique perspective and hands-on experience from the Asian animal welfare landscape will be instrumental in bridging global expertise with our regional initiatives.

Please join us in welcoming Jayasimha Nuggehalli to the Animal Welfare League Advisory Board. We look forward to the innovative ideas and collaborations that this partnership will inspire, furthering our shared commitment to a world where animals are loved, cared for, and protected.
